Outcomes
Successful completion of this course entitles the participant to apply to the Plumbers and Drainers Board for an endorsement on an existing plumber’s license to install, commission and maintain backflow prevention devices to protect water supplies.

Workplace Safety Representative
(3 days)
Aim The course is designed to give those who have been elected as Workplace Health and Safety Representatives (WHSR’s) or members of a Health and Safety Committee or persons interested in performing these roles, the skills and knowledge to function in those roles. The course also includes training for the issuing of Provisional Improvement Notices (PINs) in accordance with the WH&S Act.
Outcomes Upon successful completion, students will be issued with a Statement of Attainment – 30603Qld Functioning as a Workplace Health and Safety
Representative. Units of competency are:
•WHSR01A: Identify and apply relevant workplace health and safety information
•WHSRO2A: Identify hazards and control risks in the workplace
•WHSRO3A: Represent workers in workplace health and safety consultation mechanisms
Successful participants will also be able to issue Provisional Improvement Notices (PINs) under in accordance with the WH&S Act.

Once training begins, no refund will be given if you leave before it finishes, unless you can provide evidence of a medical reason or other hardship.
In those cases, a refund will be given minus a $20.00 administration fee. Should you be unable to finish the course due to Plumbers Union Qld cancelling or suspending the training, a full refund will be given.
